Retail Leasing and Real Estate
EXPERIENCE
While still relatively new to Opus Law Group, my 28-year career in the law has provided me with a wealth and breadth of experience to meet the critical needs of our clients. I have very significant in-house experience and so bring a special sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of our many corporate clients.
I joined Opus Law Group after a ten-year tenure working in-house with several large public companies, including as a senior attorney and, most recently, as a vice-president with one of the country's most successful competitive telecommunications providers. During my time in-house, I represented these companies in a wide variety of significant and very complex commercial transactions and regulatory matters. In private practice in Chicago for over nine years with a boutique real estate firm, I represented a wide range of real estate clients in significant commercial lease and related real estate litigation. I was also a partner with the national law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine where I represented retail clients in several major lease work out projects and other complex commercial transactions for Fortune 500 companies.
Since joining the firm last year, I have expanded my focus on real estate. That work includes hundreds of amendments, as well as working on lease renewals, new store leases, and reviewing and analyzing an entire chain's lease portfolio in connection with a major transaction.
