PRACTICE

I practice with both the litigation and retail groups. As a litigator, my work ranges from complex insurance coverage litigation to landlord-tenant disputes. I also love working with our retail clients, especially on individual leasing deals as well as large

transactions, such as acquisitions, sales, re-branding, and closure of chains.

EXPERIENCE

In the dispute resolution realm, I have significant experience working on complex insurance coverage litigation and other commercial disputes, including disputes involving our retail clients.

I have also reviewed thousands of leases and other documents for our retail clients, both in connection with negotiation of new leases and in connection with strategizing for sales, acquisitions, and potential litigation.

My retail work is, in many ways, a continuation of the five years I spent working as a paralegal with Opus’ Retail Practice Group before I attended law school. In that capacity, I frequently reviewed leases and other documents to ensure they met our clients’ needs, and I participated in and helped manage a number of large due diligence reviews in connection with the acquisition, sale, re-branding, and licensing of retail chains.

That work provided a broad and useful platform for my retail leasing practice, which includes considerable experience in due diligence projects and handling numerous leases for national and regional retailers.

At the outset of my career as a lawyer, it was my pleasure to clerk briefly for the Honorable Anita L. Farris of the Snohomish County Superior Court. I also worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald B. Leighton of the United States District Court, Western District of Washington.

Solid, practical deal oriented solutions are key for many of our clients. We work very hard to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
